This Saturday, WWE crossover Brock Lesnar will make his UFC debut against former heavyweight champion Frank Mir. Although this isn't actually Brock Lesnar's first MMA fight (his record is 1-0), it is his first foray into competition against world-class fighters. Lesnar, who was once a real wrestling champion as well as a fake WWE champion, has been training in MMA for almost two years now, as his contract with the UFC adds to the freakish cast of the world's fastest growing sport. Hopefully Frank Mir (10-3) won't show up to play as a stepping stone for the Lesnar hype. Join the forum to discuss, and remember to check back for the Lesnar vs Mir video.

Kimbo was set to fight Tank in CFFC back in September until the fight was cancelled just days earlier. Now, EliteXC has struck deals with both guys and the match is scheduled for February 16th, 2008, in Kimbo's hometown: Miami.

UFC 75, subtitled "Champion vs. Champion," will set precedent as the first undisputed world championship bout in MMA for the light heavyweight/middleweight division as UFC's Rampage Jackson takes on Pride's Dan Henderson.
...but considering Rampage was a Pride fighter until just a few months ago, this is hardly a UFC vs. Pride matchup. The event will be free for basic cable subscribers on Spike TV, September 8th.

One day remaining until the anxiously-awaited, much-debated, and sure-to-be-controversial fight between UFC heavyweight champion RANDY COUTURE and overnight star GABRIEL GONZAGA. Much to the dismay of the UFC's plans, Gonzaga not simply defeated -- but knocked out -- Pride legend Mirko Crocop back in April, thereby thwarting plans for the biggest crossover between MMA organizations and the literal dream match of Couture vs. Crocop. So was Gonzaga a rightful contender all along?
