Default Ryan Bader Looking For The Finish Against "Little Nog"

Source: Buddha SportThe Ultimate Fighter season 8 winner Ryan "Darth" Bader is set to take on his 'TUF' coach's twin brother Antonio Rogerio Nogueira this September at UFC 119. Bader, who is undefeated as a professional fighter in eleven fights, spoke with Buddha Sport about his upcoming fight with "Little Nog" and predicted a possible finish over the Brazilian fighter despite his impressive skills.

"Yes I do feel confident standing with 'Nog'. He has great boxing, and great counter punches,' said Bader. "The thing is, this is MMA and with 4 oz gloves on anything can happen. I feel that I hit very hard and have a good chin, so who knows a KO could happen."

The smaller Nogueira brother shares his twin Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira's vaunted Brazilian jiu-jitsu game in addition to possessing a respectable boxing acumen but Bader feels his NCAA Division-1 wrestling experience will allow him to shut Nogueira down once the fight hits the mat.

"He is very good on the ground and I am very good at my wrestling game," said Bader. "I have fought many black belts in my career and train with even more. I have to be smart when I'm on the canvas with Rogerio. He is very slick but I believe my wrestling can neutralize his Jiu Jitsu."

The Arizona-based up-and-comer is so confident in his skills heading into this bout that he is predicting a finish over Nogueira, a feat which he admits is a tall order.

"I plan on finishing this fight any way I can; whether that is a KO or a TKO from ground & pound," he said. "Rogerio is an extremely hard fighter to finish but I am going to go in there and try to do just that."

Bader and Nogueira will square off in the co-main event of the upcoming UFC 119: Mir vs. Cro Cop event which is scheduled to go down September 25th at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
