are you joking me just goes to show mixed martial artists CAN STRIKE cuz randy took him down like a tonne of bricks shimmied him towards the cage and absolutly HAMMERED the face of the other guy no boxer will EVER come straight from boxing with less than a years training in MMA and dominate

your just moaning because you know MMA is far more effective in a street fight and is probably 1 of the very few martial arts that can ACTUALLY BE USED!!!!

far more effective? id say they are quite similar. i say that because UFC atm has too many rules to claim its a street designed fighting technique. you would find it hard to use jiujitsu in a real fight because someone is like to break your fingers as soon as you try it and even if you get him on the ground you better pray his mates arent around.

the striking aspect of MMA is obviously quite useful in a real life situation, but a pure muay thai or kickboxer will do better standing, the only thing that the MMA fighter has at his advantage over them is that he knows how to stop other people from taking him to the ground, which is a huge advantage.

you fight a boxer on the street and if hes half decent every punch he throws has the power to knock you out. so you can afford to get hit. hes got way faster hits than an MMA fighter. so on the street the are probably about the same. maybe mma has a bit of an advantage as he knows how to use knees elbows and legs

I don't think he is worth anything in MMA, boxing showed to do him no help on the ground, no disrespect to boxers because it is my primary striking background, but Randy is right. It's just a small fraction of what Mixed Martial Arts is about.

And another thing, the only two people in this world that can get away with subtitles when they speak is Matt Hammil and Don Vito lol even Matt was probably goin *hand sign hand sign* WTF? During toneys speeches xD

Id like to see him fight again, but if he doesn't get any better at wrestling theres no real reason for him to keep fighting mma.

Yeah, I agree. I'd like to see him fight, but it's kinda pointless if doesn't learn to wrestle.
