Well as a martial arts enthusiast, and student, (and by no way should you adhere to my personal advice), when someone shorter than you grabs you, you must think of the angle he is able to grab you from his perspective, and take that into your own advantage. Boang Sau is very useful Wing Chun technique against grabs/mid level/and upper level attacks. When someone attacks you in such a manner, a "dodging" movement is unnecessary and the least effective. Throw your arm into the side of his grab and retract with your other arm and snap your fist towards any open area in is upper level/sides. If he were to come at you in a charging manner, keep a strong stance defensive stance that your most comfortable with, and retract.
I can't voice an opinion on the rest if he were to attack you, you will have to figure that out on your own lad.
