Default Shaun T Insanity

I got the dvd box from a friend who quitted after 10 days , he still got more muscular then ever. I thought it was easy but after my first try of it today i nearly fainted. Have to say; it is awesome and extremely hard what do you guys think of it?

Iv'e done it, i was seriously overweight when i started so i had to do month one 3 times before i could finish month two. Its a very intense cardio workout and good if your trying to loose weight, not great for building muscle though since you work your whole body(except any pulling muscles) out 6 days a week with only one off day.

I personally think Insanity isn't bad, but there are plenty of significantly better options for both strength and cardio. People who are new to strength training and cardio will benefit the most from Insanity, but someone who already has solid foundations for strength and cardio won't benefit much from it. If you're already strong and in good shape then stick to weight training and whatever cardio you prefer (whether it's running or biking or jumping rope, etc.). My opinions regarding P90X and Crossfit are similar. Read the weight training sticky in the Training & Technique forum for a good start. The T-Nation website also has plenty of free, quality information from expert coaches, trainers, and athletes.

I've heard great things about it from one of my old kickboxing instructors.
Right now I'm working through program one of the Spartan Warrior workout. Once I've done program two, and I feel fit enough, I was strongly considering taking up Insanity.

Its not great for strength and is nothing revolutionary, but it's not bad. If you stick with the program, you will definitely achieve you're weight loss goals.

That being said, the make thing to be cautious of is the nature of the program - lots of plyometrics. That's not a good thing 6 days per week. Listen to your body.

Thanks all , i did the first day today(Coudln't wait and wanted to test it out desperately) It was really intense and it should help me with my cardio training. Will get back to you once i see some more solid results
