I'VE HEARD OF MANY DIFFERENT WAYS.THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE THE BEST PLACE TO GET A DEFFINIT ANSWER.HOW CAN YOU GET AN IRON JAW? JUST NECK EXCERCISES RIGHT? THANKS, WHO?

dont get it lol, work on your dodging

ur jaw isnt like you abs, you cant train them and make them hard and resistant to punishment,..

i mean i suppose u could cause that calicum buildup thing to happen in ur jaw since it IS bone, but thatd be like bashing it into the heavybag again and again(compared to shins),,,,,
so im genna go with no, you really cant "strengthen" your jaw.

some people just have glass jaws

^ you may be right, but i've defintly heard of ways to stengthen your jaw and, in effect, any bone in your body.

knuckles and jaw go like so: your knuckles, rub them repetedly on something hard, not like soft wood i mean hard hard, like concrete or maybe a solid desk. if your doing it right it should hurt after awhile

jaw: simple, rub your knuckles on ur jaw! also you can lightly hit your jaw repetedly, i dont recommend doing it in public

Alright I have 3 answers for you.

First is this: Some people just have glass jaws. They're born with it. Some people think its a myth, some think its true. I honestly am not totally sure.

Second: Neck excersizes, yeah. I do nec excersizes and feel it A LOT on my jaw.
Some excersizes: What I do is - Get in a situp position but your back and shoulders never leave the ground. Just bring your head up and back down but dont let it touch the ground. do that 10 x's. then bring your head up and turn it left and right 20 x's, rather quick. just look left than right. then rotate your head in circles for 10 sec each directions. Then bridges which is when you make your body into an arc with your pelvis in the air, and you're being heald up by your head and legs (BE CAREFL WITH THIS)
or Bite on a rope with a 5 lb weight on the end of it, and rock your head back and forth

Last: Chewing gum was invented by a dentist to strengthen the jaw...

I agree with what Juno and Nate have said. As a coach I often give some of my boxers free gum to chew on all day constantly, and after workouts I'll tell them to eat beef jerky for it's protein and because it's hard to chew.

Neck exercises are a very useful as well. Shoulder shrugs with weights, head stands, lifting a weight and rope with your neck, neck crunches, reverse neck lifts, etc are some that I've done and taught to others (seems Juno has done these as well). Haha and the coach who taught them to me often had us do a cadence type military song to sing while doing them. I don't teach the song though...

Also keeping your chin "tucked" and lowered towards your chest helps reduce it's profile and brace your chin better....never stick your chin out when fighting.

But as others have said, some just have a natural glass jaw (like me actually) and the best way to help reduce getting rocked is just clench your jaw and breath through your nose. Too many people breath through their mouth and with their jaw hanging...you are just asking to get hit there.

Heh, Shoulder shrugs? there's a good reason to get out my weight bar again. I only have cement weights and usually only keep it loaded at like 60 pounds, but if those muscles help too...

Hmmm... I would've thought it more useful to train yourself to avoid being struck in the jaw in the first place? The body has numerous vital points, which when struck are devastating. Although some people do train against being struck at those points (such as Shaolin monks and their 'Iron mail' kung fu), wouldn't it be more prudent to learn dodging and reflexes instead of trying to obtain an 'iron jaw'?
