Hey, just wonderin' how easy it is for your contact lenses to get knocked out? I can't take mine out cuz my prescription is high and I can't see a damn thing without 'em.

Well mine have never come out during a fight. A few times I got rocked pretty good and like they shook and everything was blurry and I had to cover up and blink a bunch then it was back to normal. So I'm not sure but I think it would be pretty hard.

It may be hard, and you may not be able to see so good but you always should take your lenses out before a fight.
You could easily get hit and have those things floating around behind your eye.
And it depends what yours are made of but they can also break, and thats not something you want breaking in your eye.

I got pushed once and hit my head on the concrete, when I got back up I couldn't see shit and got rocked again. I will never wear lenses / glasses when I fight again.

Contact lenses will stay put better than glasses.
Contrary to the others, I don't think there is much risk at all of wearing the lenses. Modern lenses are soft. They're very unlikely to go up in your eye unless someone/something is pushing your eye around. They are more likely to come out. If they do go out of place, they will almost certainly just be under the upper eyelid. You could probably remove it yourself later or have the doctor do it very easily. I've had them go up there (not fighting), and it is little more than annoying.
Depending on the sort of fighting you plan to do, you may not get to choose what you're wearing. If you get jumped I don't think you'll have much luck calling a time-out so you can remove your lenses.
I also wear contact lenses and would prefer to have them in in any sort of fight. Maybe it will come out, but, while it is in, it will be to my benefit to see more clearly.
On a related point, you may wish to consider focusing on arts that involve you tied up with your opponent(s) just in cast you cannot see clearly. Take BJJ, for example. Once you're good with it you can do it fairly easily with your eyes closed. You feel everything and have a hard time seeing. In fact, turning to look often compromises your position.

Its okay. Most likely they will move around, say to tha top of your eye or something but mine have never just fallen out.
I'd say take them out if you can even see anything cause some people arent that bad without them but if your blind then jus do your best and try not to shake your head to much/

I love bad grammar. lol. But like said, they won't come out. I have the same problem. I think I have a 5 inch blur radius, meaning anything farther then 5 inches is blurry for me without them. So I'd be hopeless. The have never gone blurry or got knocked around in a fight. If you are that worried, keep your hands a little bit higher and tuck your head in a little bit more, and try extra hard to dodge those haymakers. Good luck.
