WHat I have been told, speed. Speed generates power.
Slow with power (sounds like someone who is fat) will not have a good chance against someone who lands a fast punch to any part of the body. Sure, his techniue might not have any mass (only speed) but getting hit enough in the same spot will certainly start to swell up.

Hmmm I think you should have a decent build and be able to do fast, but on the occasions when you want it, be able to hit extremely hard. Somewhat like GSP. He's is not hjuge but he has fast hands but still provides force

All I can say:
Watch Rashad Evans vs. Chuck Liddell and tell me what wins.

Watch Cock Lesner vs. Frank Mir 2 and tell me who wins.
I'm personally with Toxic and Cromwell on this.

-Luther | That's a crappy example. Mir wasn't faster or stronger then Lesnar.
Both Evans and Liddell start their punch at the same time. Who comes out the winner there?

A dick answer would be the fact they had different punches. Technically his punch wasn't "thrown" faster but got there faster because it was a straighter punch. Plus the fact that Liddell's wasn't really packing much power on it anyway, so declaring power to be the loser in this thread based on that example is not fair.
But the true answer? Precision. The reason Rashad's punch won is because of two things, but part of the overall idea of precision.
A) True precision, Liddell punched Rashad's shoulder. That could have been a sledgehammer, that's not knocking anyone out, Rashad hit Liddell right along the jawbone I believe.
B) Technically, head movement won. Rashad dipped, forcing Chuck to hit the shoulder. Had they both banged away, there's a chance Chuck might have hit right along the bottom of his jaw at about the same time, resulting in both of them being knocked back or down.

I understand what you're saying, and I totally agree with it.
But, Liddell threw a "shovel hook" right, and Rashad threw an over hand right. Liddell never made contact with Evans. The only possible contact that was made on Rashad's shoulder came by the already forward momentum of Liddell's hand/arm, and then began dropping while he was knocked out.
There is no correct answer to this, because many other factors must be taken into account.
If you have Kimbo's chin, and take a punch from Pac-Man, then he's going to get KO'd
But if Clay Guida takes a punch from Pac-Man, it's a different story.
This is like Masato vs Bruce Lee or "What Martial Art is Best?" Too many variables to an arguement that can't be tested. (Speed vs. Power couldn't be scientificly tested. No constant variable)

Judging from ur comments, I think speed and precision are the better combination. coz behind speed there's power.

Makes it really fun to think about it from a Physics perspective with definitions for momentum, kinetic energy, etc., etc., etc.
