Can anyone give advice on how to get rid of this fear, I don't know why I'm afraid to punch someone in the face, but I really need help fast.

Just get pshyco....fight a few times and u will get over it....and tho hope u like blood and things Street fights are alot more violent them ring ones

Are you afraid that if you punch him in the face, he'll go crazy and started fighting like a madman? Or you're afraid you'll cause too much damage?

I don't suggest that you fight because fighting can usually be avoided and it's a lamest way to solve problems because everybody can swing a fist when angry. But if you consider all options and decided to fight, you have to give it all out, know that it's your decision and forget the consequences and fight with all your ferocity. If you decide to fight, hit like your life depends on it, don't go half assed like wanting-to-fight-but-not-punching-in-the-face crap, you will get your ass whooped.

I know what you're talking about.. I used to get picked on this kid at school all the time when i was in year 9.. And I could never bring myself to hit him, no matter how angry i got. But now I'm 17, and I could easily punch anyone who messes with me. I guess you'll get over it naturally..

I think movies have a lot to do with it maybe.. like if you watch violent movies you'll get used to it lol. Like go watch fighting related movies or something, and my favourite is kick ass haha

the pain of a weak ass punch from a nobody is nothing compered to the fear of ending someone's life

I would go very far before I would punch someone seriusly in the face, but you know I'm not a pussy, so dont day they're just caus they fear consequences

Very true. Not wanting to fuck up my hands is one of the reasons I don't get in fights.

As for killing someone... I think I'm too docile for that. I learn the techniques, but I doubt I'd ever use them, even if I had too. Kneecaps, groin, elbows, eyes, ears, sure. But killing? I don't know, man. I don't see myself puncturing a throat no matter how many times I perform the move in training.
