lol, I got jumped of a load of people (10ish) from behind as I was walking out of a pub wtf?

I never had any serious injuries, which I am thankful for. I wasn't thank full that my mate was watching but never botherd to interveen until he finished his beer.
Taught me one good lesson though, never take my mate anywhere for back-up.

Just goes to show, life is unpredictable.

Good tips.

Keep track of them all. Unless you are trained extremely well, run if you can. Even professionals can get their asses kicked fighting several people at once. Here's one tip: if there are one or two opponents that are flat out dangerous, and at least one weaker opponent, let them both keep going. Here's a good example from a star wars book i read a few years ago (reading is a fine exercise to expand your vocabulary).

Theres the two sith, master and apprentice, being tracked down by five jedi. One stays out of the fight while two jedi attack each sith. The apprentice immediately notices the bigger of her opponents is far more dangerous then the smaller one, who fights with basic, raw movements. So she lets the smaller one live, SINCE HE IS A GREATER HINDRANCE TO HIS ALLY THAN A DANGER TO HER. Get it?

Btw excuse the star wars reference, it was the best way i could think of to describe it. Btw if interested its Darth Bane: Rule of Two.

dude if you are gonna fight some one after school bring your friends, safty in numbers, even though alot of your friends will just run when the shit hits the fan but still. I know someone who that fought the kid and beat him and then right afterwards he got jumped by the kids friends with brass knuckles and crowbars. He is lucky he is not dead.

I have been in 15 or more fights in my until this day and i must say that ''fight wisely''. If they are chasing you run like you never run before. Many of my friends had very bad injuries because they wanted to play the hero/tough guy. If the attackers catch you, they will gangrape you! By the way, i am living in Turkey and it's one of the most dangerous countries in the world. People start fights here just for nothing. There are lots of crazy-ass maniacs here And our police departments suck! They don't come at the exact time or %90 they never come and rescue you. So, i trained myself to survive in this country. Here, many students in the school carry knives, machetes and even axes. After school, you can watch epic battles on the streets But you have got 5 minutes to run, because they hit everyone on their way!

So, these are my advices to survive on the streets:

-Practise running, you will need that.
-Practise parkour/free running. If you know how to climb a building, you don't have to run.
-Fight dirty. Do not think about police and other shit. First rule is ''SURVIVE''! If there are 5 chasers after you run and turn back, try to grab one of them and tear of his mouth! Let them see some brutality. If they see their friend lying on the ground in a bloody mess and with a fucked up mouth, they will turn back and run. Howewer, this can throttle their hate too. So start running after the mouth operation
-Use your environment. Hit their heads to the ground, throw everything you get. It's not important to hit. You just need to distract them.
-Create a map in your head. Learn all the streets and shortcuts.
-Collect your own group.
-The maximum amount of people who hits you in the same time is 4. Because you have 4 directions and when there are 4 people around you, they actually create a wall of meat. So the other guys can't hit. Howewer if you are on the ground, it changes a little bit. Try to avoid 4 peoples attacks. Practise it with your friends. If you can avoid 4 people, you can avoid 4.000.
-I always carry change in my pockets. I use them for distraction. They work really good.
-If you see a knife, run! Even if you are the best martial artist in the world, you will %90 percent lose against a knife. If you can't run, try to evade the first attack and get in. If you are in, you don't get deep stabs. Bite his face or hit his groin, then run!

This is my first post by the way Sorry for the bad english, i need more practise

My name is Khubilai, i am 18 years old and i am from Istanbul/Turkey
Greetings from Turkey to everyone !!!

I got jumped twice. First time when I was younger, about 15, I got myself out of it by talking (kissing their asses), which still bothered me. The second time were about a year ago. There were five people, four guys and a kid about 13. The kid started pushing me and a guy punched me in the arm, but they surrounded me, so as I was taught, I swung at the kid, intending to bring him down (I was aiming to strike at the neck), but I hit in on the side of his face instead, he went down and I started running since the other four were bigger than me.
