Talking Re: Fighting bigger/ taller opponents

Also remember that someone very overweight will have weak knees. I agree with most of th above, and if you keep moving, you can tire them out, plus you can also kick for the knees, ankles, and attack their feet.

for someone taller then I am I like to get inside as much as possible, because if you can stay close, their kicks will not hve much power. The average Joe on the street will not have a lot of training, but if you hit the gym and work at fighting you will be much better off.

Number 1. Avoid all fights as much as possible, because all involved get hurt in some way, your opponent may not win the fight, but will still get a piece of you. But when you have to fight, put everything into it, worry not about your opponent, because thy are not worried about you.

The fat acts as a bit of a cushion, protecting the body. It means they are less likely to get hurt by body shots, however it doesnt protect other areas anymore than normal.

this is so not true. :| but good tips overall

Tall people are generally more a threat then fat people... but there are fat people with a TON of muscle under the fat that could knock you out in one hit... And those people are impossible to pick out just by looks... You would have to punch their gut first and if it sinks in then your good... if it's like hitting cement then... well... you could be in some trouble...

As for taller people... single legs/ankle picks has ALWAYS worked for me... just be careful not to get kneed or kicked in the face while going in for the take down... nearly broke my nose once... thank god for adrenaline... While aiming for the single leg or ankle pick you wanna circle the guy and get him to step toward you with the leg that your aiming for... I hook the leg with my right arm ( right handed) and while shooting in I put my left hand somewhat in front of my face and on their knee once I'm in to avoid getting kneed

Also good weight (muscle weight) is always more of a deciding factor in a fight then height... I'd put my money on a 200 pound 5 foot guy over a 130 pound 6 foot 2 guy anyday... Assuming both were untrained

and i see him stand up and start walking towards me. all of a sudden, my heart starts pumping, and i had like an adrenalyne rush through my whole body, and i complelty forgot everything i had learned about fighting. if this happens every time i think / or do get in a fight, how am i going to fight. how can i avoid this panic, and keep my head in the game basically, and remember and think clearly, without going nuts panicing.
PATHETIC...

I loooove reading this kind of threads, just to know what other people will most likely be trying to do against me (I'm taller than most people)

Btw, TheUnderDog, wtf's up with your signature?
