PATHETIC...

Your post brings to mind a question I wanted to ask.

While many threads focus around those with less advantage fighting those with a better edge, few discuss matters from the other perspective.

It would be interesting to hear what would give you some difficulty in a match Peter (and also to our other tall members)?

Also something u should add about fighting a tall or fat guy, is to counter them. Like u said they are usually going to be slower, so if u have fighting experience wait for them to throw first and then find openings counter fighting is the best way to fight someone taller and larger then u!!

Some things i do to stay calm in a fight and remember what i have been learned about fighting, i am a boxer with some BJJ, but i always stay calm and think about the fight. Dont get overwhelemed with it, just take a couple of deep breaths and dont get angry either, when u are angry it is harder to stay calm. Also focus on what u are goin to do to. remember your training and trust it.

This is a subject that many people want 2 know.
I have been a security guard for almost a year now, and i have learnt how to
defend myself against guy's twice the size of me. I am 6 ft 2 and weigh in at 220 lbs and yet i can take down a guy thats 6 ft 10 and 300 lbs.

The secret is to survive by any means. That means dont fight fair. Low blows are not allowed in the ring but on the street it can mean life or death. Also try and hit vital area's such as the neck. A firm jab with your thumb into the throat will disable your enemy leaving him gasping for air.

if he's a good boxer, stay back and kick him. if he's a good kicker get in close and box him. if he is good at both try and stay well back and get somthing to hit him with. If your not good at doing this try Krav Maga as it is serious self defence.

This reminds me of the time I was wrestling my coach, I'm like 6'3 and he is like 5'7 at least and he was so freaking fast I couldn't even catch him and I was super tired, this was after I was sparring though :P

lol

Hi guys, I've got a question. If an opponent is taller than me by a head length, I find it hard to hit him in the chin or even elbow to his head. But its easy to knee his balls. Any suggestion to knock him out easily?

Knee his balls.

When he bends over: knee his face or then punch his head.

But dont totally focus on kneeing to the balls, you dont want to get so caught up in a technique that you forget to watch the opponent.
