Well you are supposed to hit with the ball of you foot (just below your toes). And I think you mean KO. TKO is when someone is still concious but can not make the 10 count, or the ref stops the fight, etc.

No, I don't trust the front snap kick. I didn't really like it when I competed in Tae Kwon Do competitions either. I preferred the side kick, which was more of a push kick like the teep. It's more solid and accurate. Teep is the main attack I'd use in a street fight.

    Hey Anonymous,

Everything I tought is Muay Thai-based and is all correct.

1.) You may be able to take more pain by getting used to taking hits, but you can't strengthen all of those little bones, no. This isn't to say you can't kick with your foot, but it is much safer to kick with your shin.
2.) Well it is heavier this way. So even if they catch it, they are taking a very heavy kick to the ribs. This is also why you should set it up with punches, so they blink or are concentrating up high.

3.) No, you can get a ton of power with this. I evades the punch, by leaning away from it. I can keep heavyweights at bay with this kick, and I fight at 125 lbs.
