On a defensive fighter, try utilizing feints on him.

As for setting up the body punch: you have to do just that. You can't just lean in from straight-punch-range and expect to get a clear shot on the body. You either have to slip his punch, slide in, and punch; or you have to set it up with a jab, or jab cross slip- hook to the body. Don't forget you can throw straight punches to the body, either, they're my favorite. Jab high, then low, then back up again. Or vice-versa. Get him to bring his hands high, then attack the body.

Normaly, I dont really think of combos to throw, I react to my oponent and throw counters. Use alot of feints ect. In the brawl I just posted, not so much =P That was just to prove I wouldnt "run away" from his punches (which is what he tends to call my more technical boxing).

Hey, gotta do what you gotta do. If she's strict about her religion, don't do anything that would stray her away from her beliefs. I used to date an Amish chick. It's the strict girls that can be soo hot.. but cant do anything about it. But they're great company and your friends can go crazy.

Girls with kids... I dunno. Personally I wouldn't unless it was something casual. But it's up to you.

Yep, thanks for the advice gatorade. That was my opponents eighth boxing match, so he has a bit more experience.

Hmm, my current boxing gym is only $20 a month, while all MMA gyms are over $100 a month.. what's it like down there? And you shouldn't expect much in terms of the boxing in an MMA gym. I've come to learn after visiting Thailand that USA gyms are good at boxing and MMA, as long as you find the right gyms -- those of which are exclusive to those styles. Unless they have a strict boxing coach in that MMA gym, it'll probably be watered-down, so only go in expecting to stay in shape and learning basic stuff.

Exactly, that's called "investment". Hard at first so it's easier in the long run.

Hmm, do your research on this guy; make sure he's legitimate. Ask other trainers who may know his background and fighters he's produced, look up his name online, etc. You don't want some crazy Mayweather fan wasting your time trying to mess your style up.

The trainers at my gym are strict, but only that you are in a boxing stance, and have correct technique. If you have an original attribute, such as a defensive fighter like Mayweather, and it works for you, then they'll let you do it so long as everything else is working to it's full potential.
