Yeah, I've seen the one your drew before. In fact, I've use it. The benefit to that one, is the waist is slimmer than the shoulders, as is the head. You can simulate slam and takedowns (from your knees) and ground and pound. It's a good weight, so you get a good conditioning and strength workout if you keep lifting and slamming it.
I'm not sure I know what you mean about the person punching bag. Does it have all limbs? If so, this would be good for joint locks and manipulation. You wouldn't be able to perform toe holds on the first dummy, for instance. You said this one was the same price, but lighter in weight?
It's up to you, what do you want to practice more? Your conditioning, slams, and ground and pound, or the motions of submissions (as there will not be any resistance)?
