Question Training vs Experience

I have noticed this, a lot of the kids here that are well known fighters, don't train, at all. They might be a football player, rarely, but that is about it, like, they just fight every week or so, and some of them are outta shape, and stuff, but their supposed to be really good, how is that possible, without training? I mean, I know, experience is over Training, but how can Experience defeat Training so easily?

I am just kinda lost, cause I mean, I work my ass off, nearly everyday (except sunday, that's break day) and I still seem in the shadow of experienced fighters, that don't even train at all.

they both compliment each other, you cant go for with just one of them, you need both, cause all the training in the world wont help if you have never experienced a true adrenaline rush, and all the experience in the world wont help if you get tired out in the first thirty seconds

Yea, very true.

I hope to become experienced, but I want to be trained enough, to where I can fight in a ring, for 3 rounds of 3 mins, and not ever stop going at it, then, and only then, will I focus a lot more on Experience. Out of the ring, I guess I could hold my own with some, but I would prefer a peaceful measure outside of the ring.

that works but fighting full contact in the ring will also give you excellent experience, get into some serious all out sparring with a couple ppl and that will ad to the experience, thats what i do

I rember when we I had my first sparring match many years ago and even though I knew I wouldn't get too hurt I couldn't move I don't know why, it might have something to do with me not being used to so much adrenaline but I was so nervous I felt paralized, but after awhile you get used to it. So I think having a lot of experience gives you a big advantage.

Training is important of course, but it takes experience to know how to apply it.

You can know every single move and be a master of a martial art, but if you simply don't know how to work it into a street fighting situation, the other guy is going to win with his shoddy footwork and wild hands.

You also learn things they don't teach you inside a dojo when you have an actual fistfight, and it builds up your conditioning to pain.

However, that's not to say that training doesn't beat experience when someone is both trained, and experienced.

A poor example, but an understandable one, would be Kimbo Slice. He's a monster and he has experience, but put him in a ring with someone who has extensive training and he's nothing but another chump with an ego.

I disagree. Kimbo has obvious boxing skills that IMO are comparable to a professionals. He's a great street style boxer, very tight and proper technique. He's proven he's hard to take down (aside from being huge himself), and he's got conditioning. I think he's an athlete who trains very hard.

I think he's got skills but limited experience. Almost all of his internet fights he's fighting unskilled chumps with with no conditioning. He just needs experience fighting tougher skilled opponents.

you should have just called this thread- my bullshit
if you worked your ass off everyday, you could probly do 500 pushups by now
like 50 on each hand
many leglifts
had more control over the emotions
you probly sit at home eat crisps and write on forum that you work hard everyday

i gotta agree with soulfighter hard training beats talent
