Default Retractable wrist Blades

Is there anyone else but me that thinks that a retractable wrist blade would be a good idea for a weapon?

A retractable blade raises a few questions.
What is its attack? Is its attack solely the stab? If so, is its stab only effective on release?
Does it have a powerful spring? Will it wear down over time?
Is it large enough to use as a melee combat weapon? Or are you solely using it as an assasination tool? If so, why are you on a self defense site?

Nukes are better.

How to build one! Due to my obvious genius! (Really!)

How to make weapons?

hmm never thought about those problems.
I was thinking since some fighters suggest using keys and brass knuckles as punching items, if those were weaponized and turned into a weapon solely for the purpose of dealing hurt then it would be a more fitting for a combat situation. But thanks.

Oh and I wasn't going for the Assassins creed style of it, I was thinking of it to be more like this:

for slashing and stabbing.

or we could always go Predator.

A wrist blade is usually not a punching weapon if it is placed underhand. It also weighs a lot as it is on a distal body part. For threatening sure but it would be better for showing off.

Try designing a wrist blade that actually has enough functionality and less weight that a soldier treking all day would want to carry it. The military forces around all of the world have put their concern on reducing their load and seasoned fighters know that wieghts can hurt your preformance (hence no shirts and shorts in pro fighting).

If you know some foil or epee fencing, make a glove with a metal skewer firmly in place
For what you want I suggest is

Amazon Amazon

for brass knuckle like usable with the added knife feature

Amazon.com: Ka-Bar Becker BK9 Combat Bowie Fixed Blade Knife: Sports & Outdoors Amazon.com: Ka-Bar Becker BK9 Combat Bowie Fixed Blade Knife: Sports & Outdoors

to add on a glove ( with the blade facing outward and the hilt tied on)
slashing feature and a long reach

Amazon.com: Gerber 22-01874 Mark II Knife with Aluminum Handle, Black: Sports & Outdoors Amazon.com: Gerber 22-01874 Mark II Knife with Aluminum Handle, Black: Sports & Outdoors

to add on a glove and maybe lower on the arm for stability as it is longer (the hilt tied on)
but with pure stabbing intentions ( I would choose this one if you like punches, arm blocks, longer distance)

Amazon.com: United Cutlery Undercover Push Dagger Set with Sheath: Sports & Outdoors Amazon.com: United Cutlery Undercover Push Dagger Set with Sheath: Sports & Outdoors

Practically made for fist fights ( with blades)... actually that is what its made for.. apart from decor

I love this idea. If the wristblades where fitted like a balistic knife that would make an awesome weapon for on the ground, wrestling, type situations.

I don't think there are metals strong enough yet that can be light and strong enough for this to be entirely practical yet.

Also those push knives are awesome.

I got an solid ABS plastic version which focuses all the power of a punch into a cross point.

You realize ballistic knives are illegal ( in most of the world ), right?

There may be metal for it to be functional and lightwieght, but not very inexpensive.

For a new standard gun to which it will be given to millions of soldiers, the USA Armed Forces decided that the guns designed need to be 100% better at least.

i made something once (since it's a hobby for me to make weapons)
just a simple glove (not boxing but bicycle riding gloves) and added a few sharp pins to the knuckle areas on it
it isn't lethal, but it's concealable, nobody notices the fine tips of the pins
it'll also have someone bleeding badly and quite painful from a single punch
a useful thing to carry around if you are expecting trouble
