haha, well......The locals here love him. I think he's a jerk. Basically, I have to pretend I like him when I go to fight shops to pick up gear, or talk to people here about UFC, the reason being that he's met or visited many of the fight shop owners and they have personal connections with him. If I talk bad about him, I don't get my gear.....or at least no trainers discounts.

Improvised weapons for street combat:

A lead fishing weight sewn into the back of a ball cap. The cap can be removed and swung like a mace. There are no laws forbidding one to carry fishing tackle.

Keys. A long keychain allows the keys to be swung like a flail. Keys interwoven through your fingers makes a spiked fist.

LED Flashlight. If attacked at night can be used to blind. Held in your hand you add that extra oomf to those haymakers.

lol its funny because here in AZ im allowed to carry a pocket knife into school, last i heard from the principal last year. BUT the blade has to be under ?three? to two inches in length. MY knife fits that description perfectly, but I just dont carry it on principle. I havent gotten into a fight where it would be necessary. And its kinda amusing to see people who have no clue how to use a knife to fight wave them around thinking that makes them win automatically.

other than those try teh belt idea. And on the subject of improvised weapons, have a jacket or outer piece of clothing that you can take off in a flash. Things like jackets, over shirts, etc. Throw it in there faces, its like the LED flashlight, if done right it can temporarily blind them. My weapons-freak uncle keeps a hammer with him in his truck for muggers lol, but on the street its kind of a dead giveaway

sorry dude but not really bcuz here in Delaware at Gauger Cobbs Middle School before summer break my friend Alev got suspended for 150 days in an alternative school bcuz her boyfriend broke up with her so she was yelling at him and (we have a cop at our school) her bf told the cop that she was gonna beat him up with her brass knuckles aka belt buckle... she wasnt even gonna do anything but she aint comin back until late 2nd marking period this year.

I'd use the same thing if I ever get in a street fight, but, that's the same as a pair of brass knuckles, so not worth it.
I also have a karabener(sp?) [That thing used by climbers] on my key chain. It fits my hand quite well, and I think it'd hurt like hell to get hit in the cheek bone with it
