Re: best weapons for your pockets?
Well, the improvised weapon I normally have on hand are
Pocket Knife-Obviously useful as a shank, but the weak blade and short reach might be a problem. Even if it's only for fights, sharpen it regularly so that it makes a clean, easy cut.
Sheath/Butterfly Knife- Like above, although they're longer and thicker for bigger cuts. Not normally used for utility.
Shank-Make it as long as the piece of wood you carved, or get a metal pen or razor blade. Metal ones are usually short, and wooden ones break easy, ut they're normally one use only.
Keys-More of a last resort, but you're most likely to have these on hand. Short reach, not very sharp.
Belt-Very long range, and it hurts a LOT. If you're a master in the art of belt fu, you may settle for the typical fiber belt, but most people wear leather or studded, which causes a lot more pain.
My belt personally has a Harley Bavidson buckle, which I guess would hurt more.
I think belt's the best option.
