M.O.M. I was in middle school when I was feeling some asthma symptoms. I was sent to the school nurse to get checked out as it turns out, I had no real physical evidence that I was going through an asthma attack. But all the signs were there. There was heavy breathing, my heart rate wasn't normal, my breathing wasn't the same. The nurse was baffled and sent me to my real doctor. Now I'm no dummy, the pill he gave me was a fake. The doctor then informed my mother (of course not directly in front of me) that it was all in my head, and if the pills were taken that would be the best medicine. "Make him think he's better..." You can use M.O.M. to your advantage. Just like your conditioning, or your technique. helps you out. There three simple steps to using M.O.M. First you have to reach it, which is no much more than the second step unlocking, and then the third step activating. The simplest example is adrenaline rush. Yes all you have to do is get angry or get pumped but why? Because you have already memorized the process. You see the problem or the trial and your going to have to deal with the situation. Then what do you do? Send hot adrenaline through your veins naturally. Now lets break it down; you've already reached the process (reaching it) Have used it before (unlocking it) and are using it again(activating it). Now Instead of getting warmed up for this event you can just activate. You wake up in the morning and tired as hell you activate adrenaline rush. You change from bummed mood to ready to run 10 miles in the change of a second. Got it now? You need to memorize the action to perform the event. Go to a place, your room, a quiet meadow, your gym, dojo, a street corner, anywhere where your able to think. Remember the action you want to perform, second wind, the adrenaline rush, no pain, etc. This is called reaching.(You probably wont get it first try.) Remember when you've done it before. The experience that its happened before. Grab on to that. Remember your body, its motions and changes happening that moment. What you felt in your blood. Your insides reactions to the event. Now hold on to it. This takes patience I know, and which by those who know in the forums, I have. Your half way there. now you have to unlock it. That place, that room, dojo, street corner, thats where your training. Training to gain the action you want to unlock. In the fight most people remember there training. Once the reaching and unlocking is done, your remember how you reached the action. Remember that event next time you want to use it. You could be throwing your body to the limit and feel exhaustion. Thats when you activate what you memorized i.e.; second wind action. Your body will change. You'll fell the transition instantly. And it didn't just come to you, it was activated on purpose; consincely. So now the energy you didn't have to run that extra mile or to knock out your opponent, to submit him in that arm bar, to lift that 250 pound weight another rep, that energy came back. And thats just second wind. So In a simpler review, To memorize the action you want to perform at a certain event you: Reach Unlock Activate use your brain to control your body without limits. Of course only without limits when its mastered. But there is a warning. Your body might be going through pain you don't feel. What am I saying? Good for now and bad for later? Well, that depends on which action you choose to do, but take care of your body before and after (which your doing anyways if your an athlete) and this should not be a problem. Thats pretty much what I got from the research I said Ill be getting. Your all welcomed to try it out and share, theres no copy write.
